Job Title: Commercial Project Manager

Location: Essex (Black Notley, Chelmsford)

Salary: £45,000- £55,000 PA DOE

Job Type: Hybrid, Permanent, Full time

Real8 is looking for an ambitious Commercial Project Manager with a strong Quantity Surveying background and experience in tendering, contracts and package management. This is an exciting opportunity for someone ready to broaden their commercial expertise into a varied, client-facing role spanning the full project lifecycle, from early feasibility and budget planning through to procurement, contract administration, valuations, funding applications and project completion.

Job Description:

●    Lead on cost planning, procurement, valuations and commercial reporting across live projects

●    Prepare tenders, subcontract documentation, payment processes and commercial assessments

●    Manage variations, contract administration and final account close-out

●    Attend site and client meetings, building trusted relationships and confidence in a client-facing environment

●    Maintain overall commercial control of projects while coordinating and supporting in-house teams

The right candidate will have/be:

1.   5 years UK construction Quantity Surveying experience (required)

2.   A Quantity Surveying qualification or similar, such as MSc, FdSc, HND or equivalent (preferred)

3.   Experience in commercial or mixed-use projects, ideally within D&B schemes (preferred)

4.   Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contract administration (required)

5.   Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills

6.   Solid experience in cost management, procurement and valuations

7.   Confidence working with clients, consultants, project teams and subcontractors

8.   Experience with Bluebeam, Candy/QTO, Asta Powerproject or similar would be an advantage
