Site Manager – Residential – Freelance

Your new company
Regional contractor operating across building and maintenance with schemes including both commercial and residential, they have a strong reputation for delivering high quality work and a strong attention to detail.

Your new role They now require a Site Manager to work on a high end residential project on the outskirts of Cambridge, overseeing day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll coordinate subcontractors, manage site logistics, and maintain strong communication with the project team, clients, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all on‑site construction activities
  
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to maintain the programme and quality
  
• Monitor progress, manage site documentation.
  
• Maintain exceptional quality control, particularly on high‑spec finishes
  
• Build strong working relationships.
  
• Proactively identify and resolve site issues to keep the project running smoothly
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on high‑end residential or similar quality‑driven projects
  
• Excellent understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and finishing standards
  
• Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain a well‑organised site
  
• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications
