You will be joining a well-established and forward-thinking civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in Leicester, delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions for both public and private sector clients. This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Leicester office.

Your new role
As Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the pre-construction team, preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of civil engineering and groundworks projects. Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents to produce detailed cost estimates
• Gathering and analysing quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
• Assessing project risks and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
• Preparing bids and supporting tender submissions to secure new contracts
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers and clients to ensure estimates align with design and budget requirements.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have:

• Experience estimating within civil engineering and/or groundworks
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g. CostX, Bluebeam or similar tools)
• Sound negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Full UK driving licence.
