Job Overview

I am seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Surveyor to join my clients growing team. This role is ideal for an engineer looking to transition into sales, tenders, and surveys. The successful candidate will assist with surveying lifts and will be trained in this area. However, the primary focus of the role will be supporting the completion of tender documents for modifications, new installations, and upgrades on larger projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting surveys of existing lift installations, documenting current conditions, and identifying areas for improvement or modernization
• Learn and apply surveying techniques specific to the lift and elevator industry
• Collaborate with senior surveyors and sales team members to gather and organize information for tender documents
• Contribute to the preparation of detailed tender documents, including technical specifications, cost estimates, and project timelines
• Research and analyze competitor offerings and market trends to inform tender strategies
• Assist in creating presentations and proposals for potential clients
• Maintain accurate records of surveys, site visits, and client interactions
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements
• Support the sales team in following up on tender submissions and addressing client queries
• Assist in the coordination of site visits and client meetings
• Contribute to the development of standardized templates and processes for tender documentation

Training and Development

As a Junior Surveyor, you will receive comprehensive training in lift surveying techniques, industry standards, and our company's specific processes. This will include:

• Shadowing experienced surveyors on site visits
• In-house training sessions on lift technology and modernization techniques
• Guidance on tender document preparation and best practices
• Ongoing mentorship from senior team members
