Facilities Manager — Position Overview:

• Oversee all aspects of the firm’s facilities operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant management of the premises
• Manage leases, rent, rates, maintenance, and repairs across the firm’s buildings
• Coordinate refurbishments, space planning, and office moves
• Oversee service contracts for catering, cleaning, and off-site file storage
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and best practices
• Manage budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Liaise with stakeholders, suppliers, and staff to ensure a seamless facilities service
• Lead the general office team and manage relationships with contractors
• Develop and implement sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives
  

Requirements of the Facilities Manager:

• Previous experience in a professional services or legal environment (essential)
• Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• Proven ability to manage budgets and negotiate supplier contracts
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and relevant legislation
• Ability to motivate and manage a small team effectively
• Professional, proactive, and detail-oriented approach
