Interv_l are representing a leading electrical contractor operating across the EV charging and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) sectors, delivering high-voltage grid connections and infrastructure projects that are helping power the UK’s energy transition.

We’re supporting them in appointing a High Voltage Project Manager to oversee 11kV substation builds, grid connections, and wider electrical infrastructure works across the UK.

This role is perfect for someone with a strong technical HV background who’s looking to take the next step in their career whether that’s:

• A Senior Authorised Person (SAP) seeking less travel and more project ownership
• A Cable Jointer or Site Supervisor who’s moved into management
• Or an experienced Project Manager with hands-on HV delivery experience

You’ll take responsibility for projects end-to-end, from design coordination and planning through to delivery, commissioning, and closeout, ensuring technical excellence, safety, and compliance at every stage.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead the full project lifecycle from initial design review and planning through to delivery, commissioning, and handover
• Manage 11kV substation and grid connection builds, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
• Coordinate design, civils, electrical, and commissioning teams, both internal and subcontracted
• Oversee site activities, ensuring compliance with CDM, NRSWA, and DNO/ICP standards
• Manage permits to work, risk assessments, and RAMS documentation
• Track progress against key milestones, manage change control, and report project status to senior management
• Liaise with clients, DNOs, and third-party stakeholders to ensure technical and contractual alignment
• Champion safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all project phases

What you'll need:

• Experience with 11kV substation or grid connection projects
• Understanding of DNO / ICP / private network environments
• Knowledge of EV charging or BESS installation projects (advantageous)
• Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
