Citrus Recruit are excited to be working in partnership with a leading automotive company, recruiting for a Project Manager to join their growing team.

We are seeking a driven and hands-on Project Manager to join their fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who thrives in a dynamic setting, managing multiple prototype projects from concept through to completion.

This Project Manager role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step up from a Junior Project Manager position, this role offers variety, ownership, and the chance to make a real impact in an innovative business.

Responsibilities & day to day duties

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for:

• Managing between 30-45 projects which normally have a timescale of 3-4 weeks.
• Working on high performance vehicle protypes which can be inside or outside the vehicle.
• Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of multiple concurrent projects.
• Manage schedules, budgets, risks, and resource allocation to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Monitor and report project performance, identifying and escalating issues as required.
• Liaise closely with engineering, operations, and suppliers to maintain seamless project flow.
• Ensure all project documentation, governance, and internal data systems are accurate and current.
• Facilitate project meetings and maintain strong communication between cross-functional teams.

Skills & experience required

• Proven project management experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment — ideally with exposure to prototype or short-cycle projects.
• Strong understanding of planning, budgeting, and risk management.
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Confident leading cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Backgrounds from automotive, aerospace, rail, or other engineering disciplines are welcome.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously (up to 30–45).
• Ideal for someone looking to progress from Junior Project Manager to a full Project Manager role.
