Job Title: Estimator Construction & Drainage
Location: Northampton
Salary: Up to £50,000 plus package
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for groundworks, drainage, and civil engineering projects
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
• Conduct site visits to gather data and assess conditions
• Work closely with project managers and engineers to align estimates with delivery plans
• Monitor market trends and pricing to maintain competitiveness
• Support post-tender negotiations and value engineering
• Maintain and update estimating tools and databases

Requirements:

• Proven Estimator experience in construction or drainage
• Strong understanding of UK construction methods and regulations
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tenders independently
• Full UK driving licence (preferred)

Desirable Qualifications:

• HNC/HND or degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Membership of RICS, CIOB, or similar professional bodies
