Personal Specification

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day running of project activities to ensure delivery is successful within time and cost constraints.
  • Assist the Project Manager with key tasks across project sites, including contractor resource management, performance monitoring, reporting, and preparation of site handover documentation.
  • Provide technical knowledge to the site-based project team to support correct project planning, ensuring that hardware, materials, and resources are suitable to complete all works to the required standard, achieving “right first time” delivery.
  • Report any out-of-scope works to the Project Manager so additional activities can be captured and appropriately charged.
  • Ensure the delivery of Handover Packs and conduct quality assurance checks to maintain standards.
  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure necessary resources are available to deliver projects.
  • Supervise contractor installation teams (from first to final fix), ensuring project-specific quality and technical standards are fully understood and achieved.
  • Support the Project Manager with contractor performance management, reporting, and site handover documentation.
  • Assess works completed by third parties to allow sign-off.
  • Verify at relevant project stages (“sign-off”) that required standards are achieved, or initiate remedial action where necessary.
  • Ensure health and safety requirements are adhered to at all times.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • SMSTS certification.
  • ECS card.
  • First Aid (3-day course) – preferable.
  • Asbestos Awareness – preferable.
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation Works.
  • City & Guilds 2391 Testing – desirable.
  • Experience coordinating with other trades.
  • Full driving license.
  • Detailed knowledge of construction sites, methods, tools, and materials.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, essential for team-based working.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, suited to fast-paced environments.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.
