Job Description

Due to continued growth, an experienced Mechanical Site Manager is required in Chichester.

This role reports to the Project/Contracts Manager and will involve daily liaison with suppliers, Site Supervisors, Project Managers, EHSQ Advisors, and Subcontractors.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical building services.
• Ensure all relevant permits are in place.
• Conduct inspections and tests to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
• Liaise with main contractors and the client-based site team.
• Ensure on-site delivery and compliance of EHSQ, RAMS, PPE, etc.
• On-site coordination of plant hire, tools, and labour.
• Oversee and manage labour and subcontractors.
• Manage relevant external correspondence.
• Order all day-to-day site materials.
• Update appropriate information to progress reports.
• Maintain document management systems.
• Manage project-specific scheduling.
• Communicate changes to the project team.
• Maintain project quality reporting and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualification or further education qualification in mechanical building services.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Previous experience in a Mechanical Supervisor/Manager or similar role.
• People management experience.
• Project Management experience beneficial.
• Computer literate with strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel if/when required.
