Project Manager – Major Motorway Scheme

Didcot, Oxfordshire

Full-Time | Permanent

£75-80,000 per annum plus car and accommodation where required


Are you a seasoned Project Manager with a strong civil engineering background, ready to lead a high-profile infrastructure project? We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to take a pivotal role in delivering a major motorway scheme based in Didcot.


This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading infrastructure contractor at the forefront of UK transportation development.


The Role:

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a major motorway project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage stakeholder relationships, and oversee project planning, procurement, and execution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of the motorway scheme from pre-construction through to completion
  • Manage project scope, programme, cost, quality, and risk
  • Oversee design coordination and ensure technical compliance
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with HSEQ standards
  • Drive performance through effective leadership and communication


Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Proven experience managing large-scale civil infrastructure projects, preferably highways or motorway schemes
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts and project controls
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Relevant professional accreditation (e.g. CEng, MICE) desirable
  • Valid UK driving license and right to work in the UK
