Description

My client is a luxury Retail brand based in London. They currently have a large amount of activity in their change portfolio and as such are looking to add a Business Project Manager to the team. Reporting to the Head of Transformation, the Project Manager will play a pivotal role in driving cross-functional projects and programmes forward, ensuring they are executed efficiently, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.



The successful candidate will need to collaborate with teams across the organisation and with external suppliers to deliver business initiatives within defined parameters of scope, timeline, cost, and quality. They will lead and manage multiple concurrent projects across various business functions whilst helping to establish, refine, and promote the adoption of consistent project delivery frameworks and methodologies to ensure a consistent approach and embed best practices.



Responsibilities:


  • End-to-end ownership of programme and project delivery.
  • Oversee budgets and provide accurate financial forecasting and tracking for projects.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project delivery schedules, highlighting key milestones and deliverables.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to maximise productivity and minimise duplication of effort.
  • Actively manage project risks, dependencies, assumptions, and issues.
  • Interface with senior leadership to provide updates, influence decision-making, and maintain alignment.
  • Monitor and evaluate realisation of business benefits.
  • Ensure appropriate governance and control mechanisms are maintained throughout delivery lifecycles.



Skills & Experience:


  • Proven track record managing complex projects, preferably within a retail or supply chain environment.
  • Formal project management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Confident in managing financial aspects of projects.
  • Familiarity with IT projects and understanding of their lifecycle.
  • Experience integrating change management activities into project delivery.
  • Skilled in leading cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities across multiple workstreams.
  • Strong aptitude for identifying and mitigating delivery risks.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and develop practical solutions.
  • Outstanding organisational and scheduling skills.
  • Experienced in defining, monitoring, and adjusting critical paths within delivery plans.
