Construction Manager – Renewable Energy

Location: London (flexible hybrid)

Employment: Full-time, permanent

A leading UK renewable energy developer is looking for a Construction Manager to join their growing team. With a strong track record across BESS and Solar PV projects, this company offers the chance to play a hands-on role across the full project lifecycle – from acquisition and design through to delivery and long-term performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage technical and commercial risk on acquisition opportunities.
• Oversee external consultants conducting technical due diligence.
• Support site acquisition, disposal and development activities.
• Collaborate with planning and development teams to align technical and financial objectives.
• Manage procurement, EPC contractors, ICPs and Owners Engineers.
• Review and optimise project designs, layouts, SLDs and feasibility studies.
• Ensure compliance with DNO/TO standards, G99 and UK grid code requirements.

About You

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (Civil/Electrical preferred).
• 3+ years’ experience in project delivery or technical project management.
• Strong understanding of Solar PV and BESS construction (distribution & transmission level).
• Excellent organisational, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• MS Project proficiency essential.
• Project Management qualifications (e.g. ChPP, PPQ, PMQ) are a plus.
