Project Manager – AI Ops & Gen-AI (Telecoms)

Location: Ipswich (Primary), London (Secondary) | Hybrid

Contract Length: 3–6 Months

Overview

We are supporting a major telecoms provider in the delivery of a new programme focused on integrating AI Ops and Gen-AI capabilities into their 24/7 network operations. The aim is to automate the correlation of data across fixed network platforms (Core, Access, Ethernet), enabling faster identification of root causes and service impacts across shared and converged networks. The project is currently in the early planning phase, with requirements already gathered and documented.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish project governance and delivery structure
• Coordinate planning and execution across technical and operational teams
• Support knowledge transfer to internal operations staff
• Track progress and ensure delivery against key milestones
• Engage with stakeholders based primarily in Ipswich

Skills & Experience

• Strong project management experience within technology or telecoms environments
• Understanding of fixed networks and operational processes
• Familiarity with AI, data analytics, or automation tools is beneficial
• Confident communicator with experience working across multiple teams
• Able to work independently and manage delivery in a hybrid setting

Additional Information

• This is a short-term engagement with a planned handover to internal operations staff after 3–6 months
