We are seeking an experienced and highly adaptable Strategic Project Manager to take ownership of a critical, high-profile initiative addressing the escalating and politically sensitive issue of Vehicle Dwellers in the City.

£450 per day inside IR35

This is a unique and demanding role that requires an individual with a strong track record of delivering complex, cross-cutting projects—ideally in the areas of housing, homelessness, vehicle dwelling, or Gypsy/Traveller communities. You will need to demonstrate the ability to develop and implement strategic solutions that are both effective and sensitive to the lived realities of diverse communities.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience delivering politically sensitive, high-profile projects in complex environments.
• Background in Local Government or similarly structured organisations, with a strong grasp of internal governance and decision-making protocols.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly in engaging with diverse, and sometimes conflicting, community interests.
• Ability to work at pace under intense pressure and tight deadlines, while maintaining a calm and professional approach.
• A flexible, responsive mindset—ready to adapt to shifting political priorities and emerging issues with minimal notice.
