The Company:

Our client is an international technical engineering and construction specialist with operations across Europe. They are looking for an Estimator to join their UK team working out of Birmingham.

Estimator:

• Prepare comprehensive tenders and cost plans for civil engineering aspects of design and build projects
• Conduct thorough appraisal of tender documents and prepare material/sub-contract enquiries
• Perform site visits to identify project-specific risks and constraints
• Support design development with civil engineering expertise and attend key design meetings
• Develop analytical cost estimates including groundworks, foundations and structural elements
• Evaluate sub-contractor quotations and manage technical queries
• Implement risk management strategies throughout the tender period
• Lead value engineering initiatives for civil works components
• Present tenders to senior management and highlight commercial considerations
• Ensure smooth transition of project information to the site delivery team

Required Experience:

Civil construction expertise, estimating experience, technical drawing comprehension, documentation skills, attention to detail, strong communication and proficiency with Microsoft/Cost X software.
