About the Company - We are working with a rapidly growing and innovative Battery Energy Storage Solutions company who have an exciting opportunity to join their growing team.

About the Role - The ideal candidate will be a Project Manager with experience working with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), you will be involved in the planning, development and delivery of large-scale BESS projects.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full project lifecycle, including defining scope, setting objectives, and ensuring technical, budget, and timeline targets are met.
• Develop and manage detailed CAPEX budgets, prepare monthly financial forecasts, and track cost-to-complete, ensuring transparency and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Create and maintain integrated master schedules, assess progress regularly, and manage recovery plans for any critical path delays.
• Lead decision-making on design, procurement, and construction, resolve roadblocks, and work with teams to maintain project momentum.
• Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, including DNO representatives, regulatory bodies, contractors, and local authorities, ensuring clear and transparent communication to build trust and promote collaboration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure resource alignment, foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and encourage knowledge sharing, innovation, and best practices.

Skills and Experience:

• Should be able to demonstrate strong safety leadership and a clear understanding of CDM responsibilities.
• Must have experience leading the development and delivery phases of BESS projects exceeding 20MW and managing CAPEX budgets over £10 million.
• Must possess a strong understanding of BESS components, grid integration, and electrical systems, particularly for ICP and DNO interface projects.
• Must have a strong understanding of FEED processes and their impact on project success, experience with multi-contract approaches and effective contract administration, and excellent interpersonal skills to coordinate with contractors and consultants, fostering a collaborative working environment.

Qualifications:

• 4+ Years experience managing large-scale renewable or utility scale projects, 2+ years in BESS projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Project Management qualification i.e., APMP, PMP.
• CSCS card holder of equivalent site safety scheme.
