Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor (PQS)

Location: Banbridge, Co. Down- Northern Ireland

Salary:  £60,000 - £70,000 (DOE) + benefits

Hours: 9-5:30pm

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Hawthorne Consulting LTD are looking to bring onboard an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

About the Company

Hawthorne Consulting Ltd is a Chartered Surveying Practice regulated by the RICS, providing Quantity Surveying, Project Management and CDM Coordination services across a wide range of sectors in Ireland and the UK.

Working across a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, hospitality and mixed-use developments, including large-scale and high-profile projects throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading pre- and post-contract cost management on a portfolio of projects.
• Preparing cost plans, estimates, bills of quantities and tender documentation.
• Advising on procurement routes and contract strategies.
• Managing tender processes, analysis and recommendations.
• Administering contracts, including valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Providing clear cost reporting and advice at each project stage.
• Contributing to value engineering and risk management workshops.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
• Undertaking occasional travel to project sites throughout Ireland and the UK.

The Successful Candidate Should Have / Be:

• 10+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor 
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Chartered (MRICS) or working towards chartership.
• Strong technical understanding of pre- and post-contract QS services.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally across Ireland and the UK.
