About the Role: We are seeking a Residential Building Surveyor with a passion for historical buildings to join our expert team. You will conduct detailed surveys, provide specialist advice, and contribute to the preservation and restoration of historic residential properties. This is an excellent opportunity to work on unique projects while receiving training and support to develop your expertise. Key Responsibilities: Carry out comprehensive building surveys on residential properties, focusing on those of historical significance. Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for repair, maintenance, and conservation. Provide expert guidance on repair techniques that honour the building’s significance. Work closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Travel to site locations, predominately across Oxfordshire, the Home Counties and London. Requirements: Qualified to at least AssocRICS level (MRICS or working towards it is a bonus). Experience or a strong interest in working with historic and heritage buildings. Solid understanding of building pathology, particularly in older residential structures. Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to your own vehicle for site visits. Excellent communication skills to convey findings and advice clearly to clients. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
