About the job

Description

Project Lead Architect - Your new company HAYS Architecture & Design NI are proud to be collaborating with a WA100 Architectural Practice in their search for an experienced, job-running Architect for their flourishing Belfast studio. With a well-structured, dynamic group collective, they pride themselves on developing the highest standards of professionalism whilst encouraging self-reliance and independent thought within a supported, technically focussed environment. With projects that quickly move from concept to completion, they offer a compelling opportunity to broaden your skill-set and bolster your career trajectory. With their office based in a bustling part of the city, tucked away from the centre but a short walk from all the main arterial routes, in all this is an excellent prospect for the right Architect. Your new role As a job running Architect, you'll typically be engaged on a major client account either within the Retail or Life-sciences sector. You'll work with a range of stake-holders (both internal and exterior to the business), and manage the associated project team. The source and location of this practices workload means that your workload may not necessarily always be based in Northern Ireland, or indeed even the Island of Ireland, which in itself offers exciting opportunities to travel occasionally abroad if required. This studio specialise in taking projects through the latter RIBA stages, and there wouldn't be a lot of conceptual design work - suiting those with strengths in technical coordination, site-facing elements & troubleshooting on live works. Due to the complexity and type of work they do, this is a progressive Revit / BIM practice with a continual focus on the development and upskilling of their staff in this regard. What you'll need to succeed You will be a qualified Architect (or indeed Architectural Technologist) with 3 years experience working across all project work stages, in a relevant sector. You'll have a good understanding of NI / RoI building control & planning protocols, and a depth of knowledge across construction methodologies. You should be a competent designer, with a wealth of technical knowledge, and solid proficiency across Revit / AutoCAD / MS Office etc. You will have confidence in your written and verbal communication skills, with great organisational abilities and an ability to prioritise / manage multiple work streams simultaneously, as well as coordinating / mentoring junior staff. What you'll get in return A full-time position with a WA100 practice, at an exciting stage of growth in Ireland. With an attractive office-space in a convenient part of Belfast, an in-office working culture with the added benefit of 1-2 days working from home if required / needed and a competitive salary structure dependant on experience level - this truly could be the 'something-new, something-different' you've been waiting for.
