Description
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a complex £130M student accommodation scheme near Farringdon, London. This role is with a Tier 2 Main Contractor known for delivering large-scale residential RC frame projects, hotels, and student accommodations. This project involves extensive cut and carve elements, and with a fixed price and program, the position demands rigorous time and cost management. The project, currently in the £12M enabling works phase, requires a proactive, detail-oriented manager who can thrive under tight deadlines and oversee all phases of construction from early works to final handover. Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership: Manage all project phases, from enabling works through completion, ensuring adherence to tight timelines and budget constraints. Cut and Carve Oversight: Oversee complex cut and carve operations, effectively managing subcontractors and site teams. Program and Budget Management: Execute the project on a fixed program and budget, identifying risks early, implementing mitigation strategies, and keeping stakeholders updated. Quality Assurance: Ensure all works meet the highest standards, coordinating quality checks and inspections throughout the project lifecycle. Client Liaison: Maintain strong, transparent relationships with the client, providing regular progress updates and addressing any concerns proactively. Health & Safety Compliance: Uphold all safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with regulatory standards. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a multi-disciplinary team to achieve project milestones on time and to a high standard. Requirements: Proven experience managing large-scale residential or student accommodation projects (RC frame experience preferred). Demonstrated ability to deliver projects under fixed price and program constraints. Expertise in cut and carve works and complex construction schemes. Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality assurance procedures
