Quantity Surveyor - Specialist Clean Room and High-Tech Construction Location: Stevenage Are you an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for an opportunity to progress? Or maybe you are a QS who is looking to move into a new dynamic and rewarding role? Would you like to contribute to high tech construction projects in the pharmaceutical, cleanroom and microelectronics sector? About the Role: In this pioneering role, you will have the chance to leave a lasting impact by shaping critical pharmaceutical facilities from the ground up. As our Quantity Surveyor, you will assist with the day-to-day financial control, reporting, and commercial performance management of multiple projects in the “Golden Triangle” area from award up to final account. You will work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage cash flow, including timely applications, certifications, invoicing, payments, and careful administration of subcontracts. Key Responsibilities: Generate and report weekly revenue and cost reports Control submissions of daily completed jobs Utilise a working knowledge of the Schedule of Rates Support the authorisation and submission of project variations Liaise with Operations & Planning to monitor job progress and scope changes Assist management with the subcontractor supply chain, including setup, final accounts, and applications What We're Looking For: Excellent stakeholder management, proactivity, and accountability Strong communication and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs Previous quantity surveying experience, ideally with Mech or ME knowledge Understanding of framework agreements in specialised construction environments Keen interest in clean-room, micro-electronics and high tech construction projects.
