MMP Consultancy seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor for an interim contract with a North London-based National Contractor for Housing Asset Management / Maintenance. Day Rate Negotiable (Inside IR35) The role is interim, taking over for a member of staff who is leaving, with a potential option of permanent. Details: Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor (Projects) Salary: £Negotiable (Inside IR35) Location: North London Contract: Interim - 6 months. The works cover planned maintenance which encompasses such aspects as replacement windows and doors, external/internal decorations, scaffolding, roofing, etc. Work alongside the current quantity surveyor who is leaving to get a full handover. Essential qualifications: RICS, CIOB or relevant degree, Asbestos Awareness UKATA or IATP Key Duties: Cost control. Maximising revenue. Liaising with clients to identify their needs. Estimating quantities, costs, and time scales for material and labour. Preparing tender and contract documents. Identifying and weighing up commercial risks. Supply-chain procurement. Ensure that the supply chain is engaged appropriately with the correct contract terms and conditions. Accurate monthly forecasting. Ability to challenge resources and costs. Maintaining deadlines in line with the monthly commercial calendar. Ensure accurate cash flow reporting takes place. Help ensure that commercial processes are adhered to across the business unit. Effectively assist in managing the commercial team, including cost clerks and commercial support staff
