Job Title: Assistant Site Manager (Superstructure) Location: Kilburn, London Type: Full-Time Company: Tier 1 Main Contractor About the Role: I am recruiting for a dynamic and motivated Assistant Site Manager to join our client’s team, a prestigious Tier 1 Main Contractor, for a new build care home project located near Kilburn. The ideal candidate will have experience in overseeing the superstructure phase of construction, working closely with the Site Manager to ensure that all works are delivered to the highest standard, on time, and in line with health and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the management and oversight of the superstructure phase of the care home project. Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and timely progress. Monitor construction progress against the program, addressing any issues that may cause delays. Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards, identifying and resolving any issues promptly. Assist with documentation, including maintaining records of daily activities, progress reports, and health and safety protocols. Provide support during the resolution of any on-site technical or design challenges. Participate in site meetings, liaising with the Site Manager to provide updates on progress and any areas of concern. Assist with material deliveries and logistics to ensure smooth operations on-site. Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role, particularly overseeing superstructure works. Strong understanding of construction techniques, especially within the superstructure phase. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Relevant construction qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid)
