This project is just entering its internal stage and offers a pivotal role with significant impact over the next year. About the Project This prestigious development features a concrete frame structure under a JCT Design and Build (D&B) contract, compliant with Passivhaus standards. The project is commissioned by a Local Authority client and is now at a critical stage of construction. Role Overview As an Assistant/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you'll work on-site, directly supporting the Senior QS and site team. You'll manage subcontractor packages, monitor project costs, prepare payment certificates, and ensure contractual obligations are met. This role provides a great opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic setting. Key Responsibilities Contract & Financial Management: Assist in subcontract documentation, measure work, maintain records, and manage payments. Subcontractor Relations: Oversee procurement and management of subcontract packages from start to finish. Cost Monitoring: Track project costs, prepare reconciliations, and report financial status. Client Interaction: Liaise with clients on payments, variations, and final accounts. Team Collaboration: Participate in project and subcontractor meetings, assist with claims, and work closely with the Managing Surveyor. Requirements Qualifications: BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent. Experience: 3-5 years in a similar role, preferably in residential construction with experience in JCT D&B contracts.
