Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Location: Kent Package: £50,000 - £60,000 plus Car Allowance Fuel Card Skilled Careers are pleased to announce we have been selected to search for a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a rapidly growing and very profitable, Main Contractor who are based in Kent. Coming off their best year to date where they saw an impressive amount of work winning and growth, my client has an exciting opportunity within the Commercial Team. The Company: They are an established Main Contractor who have seen consistent growth year on year. They have seen a huge amount of growth this year while achieving amazing profit margins year after year which is why they are looking to bolster their commercial team. They currently have multiple live projects across the UK with values ranging from £2m up to £20m This is a company who have a relaxed and flexible culture. They are also a team which works closely and who is ambitious to grow and make a name for themselves in the industry. The Opportunity: The Quantity Surveyor will be working on a £10m Commercial New Build Project in Kent. You will be working behind a commercial lead (Senior Quantity Surveyor) on the project. Role & responsibility: Work behind a Lead Senior Quantity Surveyor on a £10m Commercial New Build Project in Kent. Develop and encourage project team performance encouraging and ensuring that main contractual obligations and or strategies are executed and regularly reviewed. Help to complete and submit monthly CVR and progress reports. Demonstrate understanding of internal and external tender strategies / build up and work to the profit plan. Produce external valuations / cash flow to maximise project value. Help to produce main and subcontract final accounts Candidate description Must have 4 years experience in quantity surveying. (main contractor experience is essential). Able to work under pressure. Commercial/ Residential/ Leisure/ Healthcare and Education experience is ideal. Degree in Quantity Surveyor/ Commercial Management is essential Strong communication skills, confident in report writing and actively engaging in meetings. The role is hybrid. Meaning you will in-between site and office. Please note: I have met the client face2face and have recently placed someone underneath them who is absolutely loving it.
