Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) Permanent Full time Location: East Midlands Salary: £45,000- £65,000 pa dependant on experience Benefits: BUPA Healthcare, pension, company car allowance Purpose of the role A great opportunity for an experienced, confident Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to thrive within an expanding company. This role is primarily based in the East Midlands covering sites across the UK. The candidate must be willing to travel and be happy to manage and lead Quantity Surveying tasks and projects across the construction sector. A professional attitude and drive for excellence is essential. The quantity surveyor role must track, advise and administer all commercial aspects of a project to help ensure delivery on budget, maximising opportunity and minimising risk. Job duties: Primary Tasks and Duties include: Mobilisation Checking tendered budgets and formatting to suit. Highlighting risk & opportunity and documenting with relevant tools. Forming a relationship with the client QS (counterpart) Aid in reviewing contracts with the CM. Operational Delivery Managing change (variations, CEs) Generating and submitting AFPs for the contracted dates. Advising & monitoring of budget compliance or non-compliance. Advising CM on Risk & opportunity. Assessing subcontractor AFPs / invoices with input from CM. Managing & generating CVRs for all projects as they are delivered. General Administering company cashflows with the CM. Advising Accounts dept of when to invoice clients. Obtaining payment certificates from clients. Experience / Person specification Holds a full driver's license RICS membership or equivalent Degree or equivalent in construction or surveying field Experience in MS packages, Word, Excel etc. Experience in multiple project delivery If you are an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a new role in an exciting business, please get in touch.
