Description

Calibre Search is seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join a well-established Building Consultancy in Newcastle. The ideal Building Surveyor will have a strong technical background in building surveying and will be responsible for managing high-profile accounts across a range of sectors, including commercial, residential, retail, and industrial projects. Worload is a varied mixture from technical due diligence to full project management. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert advice on building design, construction, maintenance, and refurbishment. Conduct building and measured surveys. Ensure compliance with building regulations and technical standards. Write specifications, obtain estimates, and manage maintenance contracts. Analyse building defects and prepare schedules of dilapidations. Supervise building work and manage claims/negotiations with loss adjusters. Ideal Experience: MRICS qualified or working towards it. Previous experience in a consultancy capacity. Confident with client-facing responsibilities and networking. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a team. Commercially focused and eager to contribute to the growth of the practice. This is an excellent position for a Senior Building Surveyor looking to make an impact in a smaller, specialist team within a long-standing consultancy.
