About the Company: My client is the largest privately owned construction company in the North of England, boasting a reputation for excellence across Commercial New Build, Civil Engineering, and Social & Private Housing. The Role: They are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Commercial team. This role will see you managing two significant projects in Bridlington: A social housing and residential apartment building A new care home apartment complex. You will play a key role in overseeing project budgets of up to £15 million, ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency while working under JCT Design & Build contract forms. Key Responsibilities: Manage all financial aspects of the projects, from inception to completion. Prepare, review, and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flows. Oversee the submission of payment applications and conduct valuations. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Provide timely and accurate cost reporting to senior management. Collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Who They’re Looking For: The ideal candidate will have: Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment. Strong knowledge of JCT Design & Build (D&B) contract forms. A track record of successfully managing budgets of up to £15 million. Experience in social housing and care home projects, with familiarity in timber frame construction, is ideal. Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines across different sites.
