About the Company Our client was formed in 2005 and overtime have built up a reputation of one of the go-to names for your tricky cut & carve/heavy refurb projects in the City. Whilst they have a great reputation in this area, they also deliver some brilliant "Fit Out" works for some Blue Chip Clientele. About the Role Our client is looking for someone who is interested in joining an established and reputable team in the capacity of a Senior Quantity Surveyor. Your primary objectives of the role will be to work with closely with the Commercial Lead on a £90m CAT B fit out in in the West End. You will manage the team to maximise profitability and minimise the cost and risk of a construction project and enhance value for money while still achieving legal standards and quality. Key Responsibilities: Maintain correct financial control of all projects to ensure target margin is achieved or improved upon Value and certify subcontract work, overseeing invoices and applications for payment as well as arranging payments Produce valuations and applications for payment to the client - raising client invoices when agreed Identify opportunities for Value Engineering to improve margin and programme, and to reduce risk Network and develop relationships with key consultants and architects, with a view to generating new business Network and develop relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to develop a diverse supply chain To constantly review policies, practices and procedures to ensure continual improvement in our offering Understanding the client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies to ensure their proposals will work Maintain awareness of different building contracts Ensure timely cost and value reporting to ensure accurate cashflow reporting takes place Cost management including forecasting Reconciliation of CVR’s Attend site meetings, control change and obtain/provide variation confirmations Correctly apply the terms of the main contract including all notices, confirmations and authorities Provide guidance and mentorship to rest of project finance team. The Offer In return for your expertise, our client offers a competitive salary of around £85,000 - £100,000 plus Travel Allowance and Package
