Description
Our client is a main contractor specializing in construction projects across various sectors, including healthcare, commercial, and residential. They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team and oversee the delivery of a £17 million hospital fit-out project in Central London. The Role: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of this complex and high-profile hospital fit-out. Working closely with the project management team and stakeholders, you will manage the cost control, procurement, and financial aspects of the project from inception through to completion. Key Responsibilities: Manage and control the project’s budget and costs, ensuring accurate financial reporting. Oversee procurement processes and contract negotiations, including sub-contractors and suppliers. Prepare and manage interim valuations and final accounts. Provide advice on contract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Monitor and report on project performance, identifying risks and opportunities. Liaise with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery. Maintain up-to-date records of all contracts and variations. Requirements: Experience managing projects valued at £10 million (preferably in the healthcare or hospital sector). Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract administration. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (MRICS or working towards it is a plus). Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
