Job Title: Senior Site Manager Type: Permanent Location: North East Manchester Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum plus full package Start Date: ASAP A Tier 1 main contractor requires a technically minded Senior Site Manager with an Engineering background to join permanently and assist the Project Manager with all on site requirements for project deliverability. Projects are predominantly in the NW region. You will be overseeing vast types of works across Education, and Healthcare sectors. As such, previous experience overseeing new build/refurbishment works on Schools, Libraries or Hospitals will be considered favourably. Key Responsibilities: • Manage the construction site, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. • Supervise all on-site personnel, including subcontractors, suppliers, and construction workers • Monitor project progress and provide regular reports to senior management. • Ensure that the project is delivered to the highest possible standard and meets all regulatory requirements. • Proactivity in identifying and resolving on site issues before they become apparent • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities. Requirements: • Previous experience working with a main contractor (essential) • Degree qualified or professional qualification. • Completed Safety Level 1 course • Valid CSCS Card • Extensive experience as a Site Engineer with a main contractor (essential) • Experience as a Graduate or Trainee Site Engineer • Good understanding of technical details • Awareness of commercial and financial aspects • Great communication and interpersonal skills • Familiarity with contracts like NEC and JCT This blue-chip firm specialises across a range of sectors: Education, Healthcare, Aviation, Defence and more.
