Description

I am currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor, for a housing Association based in the North East. The role involves conducting a range of building surveys, inspections, and audits for an organisation's properties and assets. This position requires effective diagnosis, recording, and monitoring of structural issues, including movement, failure, and fire damage. The Building Surveyor is also responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and preparing necessary documentation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a background in building surveying who enjoys working on varied projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously. They should be adept at collaborating with a range of stakeholders and possess excellent communication abilities. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct pre- and post-inspection surveys, including those related to tenant alterations, in line with organisational requirements. - Carry out detailed building surveys, providing comprehensive written reports and technical drawings. - Prepare detailed specifications and drawings for identified works, including building regulation and planning applications. - Provide technical advice on building surveying and pathology to various stakeholders across the organisation. - Perform clerk of works duties and conduct quality audits as required, ensuring all projects meet high standards. Skills and experience: - Building Surveying Degree / significant experience Knowledge of CDM regulations Open to number of years of experience What in it for you?
