Description

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the full lifecycle of a £16m fit-out project for a new music venue near Kensington, London. This role requires overseeing the project from pre-construction (starting in a few weeks) through to completion, with full responsibility for commercial management and delivery. Pre-construction includes an enabling works package, and on-site work is scheduled to begin in January. Key Responsibilities: Full commercial responsibility from pre-construction to project handover Preparation and management of budgets, cost plans, and forecasts Managing subcontractor procurement, contracts, and variations Leading valuations, payments, and final accounts Managing risk, value engineering, and cost control strategies Ensuring compliance with contract terms and D&B requirements Liaising with the project team, clients, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery Qualifications and Experience: Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline Proven experience in managing high-value fit-out projects Strong knowledge of D&B contracts and fit-out processes Excellent negotiation and communication skills Ability to lead the commercial aspects of a project from start to finish
