Void Surveyor Opportunity - Temp to Perm Role Available Your new company An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a surveyor with void or empty homes experience, who might be interested in joining a registered provider of affordable housing based in Devon and the Southwest. You will join a social housing landlord who are responsible for maintenance and continued development of over 7,000 homes located across the region. Your new role As a Void Surveyor, you will work within a small empty homes team to ensure that refurbishment and repair of housing is completed to the highest possible standard, on time, and to budget. Your role will include: Conducting initial property inspections when homes become empty. Assessing the condition of homes and creating detailed specifications and scopes of work for the repair. Supervise building contractors to ensure high-quality work. Collaborate with other teams to ensure you are meeting housing standards and compliance / CDM requirements. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed in this role, you must have prior experience working within the social housing sector, which could involve working either on the client-side or for a social housing maintenance contractor. Excellent property maintenance experience is essential, alongside an understanding of specifications, and health & safety. What you'll get in return In return, you will be offered an initial three-month contract position which could extend beyond this point, or progress into a permanent, salaried position.
