About the Role:

Unite People are currently recruiting on behalf of our regional civil engineering client, who are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a circa £10million bridge refurbishment scheme. Ensuring the scheme is complete in line with the set program, while ensuring safety, quality, sustainability, and cost efficiency.

We are looking for someone with experience in a similar role who will be responsible for:

• Managing project schedules and tasks.
• Ensuring safety, health, environmental, and quality standards are met.
• Using engineering knowledge to understand civil engineering specifications.
• Coordinating teams, subcontractors, and designers.
• Organizing materials, equipment, and subcontractor procurement.
• Supporting engineers and solving technical issues.

Required Skills:

• Applicants should have proven experience as a Project Manager with a principal contractor on civil engineering or infrastructure projects valued at £5m or more.
• Expertise in managing similar schemes
• Familiarity with NEC 3 or NEC 4 contracts is essential.
• An industry-related qualification (HNC, HND, or Degree) is advantageous.
• Required certifications: SMSTS, CSCS, and a full driver’s license.
