Estimator – Structural Steel

Are you an experienced Estimator with a strong background in structural steel? We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team, bringing expertise in design pricing and a deep understanding of the structural steel industry.

About the Role:

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in pricing and managing bids for a range of structural steel projects. Experience with MOD, nuclear, or green energy projects is highly advantageous. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of design pricing and a proven track record of successfully estimating structural steelworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project requirements, specifications, and design drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with design and project teams to evaluate and price structural steel designs.
• Prepare detailed tender submissions and documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing information.
• Review and refine estimates to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
• Monitor industry trends and pricing structures to provide up-to-date market insights.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in estimating, specifically within the structural steel industry.
• Demonstrable experience in design pricing and a clear understanding of fabrication and erection processes.
• Familiarity with MOD, nuclear, or green energy projects is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
