Job Title: Estimator/ Surveyor Location: Essex Package: £38,000 - £45,000 plus Company Car Skilled Careers are pleased to announce we have been selected to search for an Estimator/ Surveyor on behalf of an established, family owned Main Contractor in Essex. Due to an impressive amount of work winning and growth, my client has an exciting opportunity within the Commercial Team. The Company: They are an established, family owned Main Contractor who have had continuos growth over the years in multiple sectors across the South of England. The Opportunity: You will be working alongside a strong commercial team of 3 and beneath an experienced Director who loves to utilise his excellent experience to develop his commercial teams. Once you have settled into the company there is real opportunity to be promoted to a Senior Estimator/ Surveyor in the future. You will be responsible for pricing tenders valued between £50k and £500k and to price small works projects greater than £50k. Role & responsibility: Working beneath an experienced Director, you will be responsible for pricing tenders valued between £50k and £500k and to price small works projects greater than £50k. Develop and encourage project team performance encouraging and ensuring that main contractual obligations and or strategies are executed and regularly reviewed. Play a pivotal role in assessing and managing projects related to insurance claims and building works. Projects include education, commercial and healthcare up to £500k in value across Essex, Suffolk and Cambridge. The Person: Candidate description Must have 2 years' experience in estimating/ surveying. This can include contractor, consultancy, fit-out and/or developer experience (main contractor preferable). Able to work under pressure, and price your own tenders and small works. Surveying experience is not essential but is desirable. Strong communication skills, confident in report writing and actively engaging in meetings.
