Our client is offering a clear progression path in to a Commercial Manager role, and the autonomy for you to come in and shape how the Commercial Team looks. Our client is well established in the Civil Engineering sector, and boasts a diverse array of projects across the UK. The successful candidate will play a key role both on-site and head office activities, contributing to the growth and success of their projects. Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of projects costs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgets. Implements precise measurement and valuation processes for all aspects of groundworks projects. Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Provide regular financial reports and updates on project financial status, whilst identifying any cost overruns and implementing corrective actions. Maintain comprehensive records of financial transactions and project-related documentation. What are we looking for? A background in the civil engineering sector is essential for this role, ideally in groundworks civil engineering subcontracting. As well as: Proven track record in project quantity surveying, with a focus on cost management and contract administration. Strong understanding on construction contracts, including JCT and NEC. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Detail-orientated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
