Our client is a reputable and dynamic Specialist Building Contractor with a track record of delivering a range of high Value Residential and Commercial schemes throughout the UK. They now require an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to join their existing Delivery team on a circa £30 Million, 150 Unit Residential Tower development project in Bristol. This is a Lead Commercial Management role with a primary focus on driving the pre and post contract Commercial & Contractual aspects of this High Spec Residential project through to completion and handover for the next circa 2 years. You will be a key member of the Senior management team and you will liaise closely with the client and interface with the design team and supply chain throughout the life cycle of the scheme through to the agreement of Final Account. The ideal Commercial candidate will have the following experience and abilities:- Degree Qualified Senior Quantity Surveyor and or MRICS member. Minimum of 10 years with a recognised Main Commercial Building / Sub-contractor ideally as a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager. Ability to minimise the risk to margin and achieve project milestones against phased contractual payment clauses. Experience of the delivery of Design & Build projects exceeding £25M. Implementation of an effective Change Management and Variation Control Strategy Commercial Management of and effective engagement with the Local Supply chain. This role will require that someone lives in or within travel distance to Bristol and is available to be based on site 4-5 days per week as required throughout the life cycle of the scheme The project has been designed by highly reputable Architects and the Design team and supply chain involved in the project are all highly experienced. This is a Fixed Term role of circa 2 years Month Project starting October 2024 with a competitive base salary.
