About the job

Description

Tired of waiting for exciting projects to land on your desk? Maybe this could change things. A £40M transformation project that will reshape education for generations. Bournemouth & Poole College, the area’s largest provider of Further Education and Apprenticeships, is taking things to the next level. With sites across three campuses, BPC is leading the way in redeveloping and upgrading its facilities. This landmark project involves both a brand-new build and the refurbishment of a Grade II listed building. With work already in progress and completion set for May 2026, you’ll be working alongside DfE consultants and contractors to ensure everything runs smoothly. Beyond this flagship project, you'll collaborate with the Director of Estates to deliver on all estate improvement projects, managing a £4.5M budget for 2024. You’ll oversee projects from start to finish, with support from an 80-person in-house estates team, and line-manage the Estates & Project Coordinator. If you have a track record of delivering minor works and capital projects, this could be your next big step to grow your project portfolio. Whether you’re currently working for a consultancy, contractor, or another client-side organisation, this role can springboard the start of your career—or offer the job satisfaction you’re looking for if you’re further along your journey. And let’s not forget the perks: On top of the coastal views and 7 miles of amazing beaches, you’ll receive 29.5 days of annual leave, 4 extra days at Christmas, plus bank holidays. Free parking at all sites, retail discounts, a great pension scheme, and excellent career development opportunities. So, what’s next? Apply, or reach out to Tom Morrison at Oyster to find out more. Don’t worry if your CV isn’t up to date—just send what you have or connect with us on LinkedIn, and we can take it from there. The closing date for applications is Friday 18th October. Oyster has an exclusive partnership with BPC, all direct or third-party applications will be forwarded to Oyster
