Job Description: Quantity Surveyor - Fit Out Position: Intermediate Quantity Surveyor Location: Central London (with flexible and remote working options) Salary: Competitive up to £65,000, based on experience plus package Company Overview: 4Site are representing a leading Main Contractor with a reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across London. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join the Interiors division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of fit out projects up to £10 million, from inception through to final account, without the need for direct support. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong commercial acumen and the ability to work independently on complex projects. Key Responsibilities: Cost Management: Take full responsibility for the financial management of fit out projects up to £10 million, including budgeting, cost control, and value engineering. Tendering & Procurement: Manage the tendering process, including the preparation of bills of quantities, contract documentation, and the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers. Valuations & Payments: Prepare and submit interim valuations, manage the certification of subcontractor payments, and ensure timely financial reporting to senior management. Contract Administration: Oversee the administration of contracts, including variations, extensions of time, and final accounts, ensuring all contractual obligations are met. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate commercial risks, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and in line with financial targets. Client Liaison: Act as the key point of contact for clients on all financial matters, ensuring clear communication and maintaining strong client relationships. Reporting: Provide accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections to senior management. Compliance: Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant legislation. Qualifications & Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with significant experience in fit out and refurbishment projects within the commercial office sector. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, particularly JCT and NEC. Proven ability to manage the financial aspects of projects up to £10 million independently. Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
