Heavy civils, specialist works - Quantity Surveyor opportunity. Company Main contractor with a strong portfolio of work, repeat clients, and projects ranging from £100k to £20m. Role A Quantity Surveyor is required to join the team, working in support of an experienced QS leading on a £7m heavy civils project in the North East. This presents a fantastic opportunity to learn the ropes and become familiar with the NEC form of contract, whilst getting up to speed as part of the commercial team. Within a short time frame, the Quantity Surveyor will progress to running project(s) autonomously, working closely with the operational leadership team. This is an office based position in the North East region. Experience Required The successful applicant will be a Quantity Surveyor with basic level experience gained from a UK contractor, with a specific interest in developing within the heavy civils arena. Any prior knowledge of NEC contracts is advantageous. Strong communication skills and demonstrable ambition to learn and develop within an interesting and challenging commercial environment is essential.
