A Damp & Mould Surveyor job based in Birmingham City Centre, paying £50,000 per annum Your new company Hays are delighted to be working alongside a Birmingham-based Housing Association in recruiting a Damp & Mould Surveyor to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced surveyor with a background in social housing to join an exceptional local public sector organisation. Your new role Your new role will see you carry out pre-and-post inspection surveys to identify areas of issue linked to damp and mould, investigating the cause of these issues and identifying repairs required. You will also: Produce well detailed schedules of works required. Diagnose the causes of these issues and the steps needing to be taken for repair/ Support with any complaints. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed in this role you will: Have a strong understanding of building and property maintenance. Have previous experience of identifying issues and areas requiring urgent damp and mould repair work in the social housing sector. Be RICS or CIOB Chartered/Qualified. Possess a strong level of technical expertise, and knowledge of social housing legislation such as the Landlord Tenants Act, Environmental Protection Act, and the Social Housing Regulation Act 2023.
