Description

Job Description As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will have knowledge and experience in pre and post-contract management and procurement within the UK rail sector. The senior quantity surveyor will be expected to utilise their major project experience and knowledge to drive efficiencies and effective supply chain engagement. Role Responsibilities: NEC3/4 Option C Contract management and administration Establish and manage entitlement, with key focus on gaining full entitlement under the terms of the Subcontract The quantity surveyor will lead the review and valuation of contractor applications for payment in accordance with contractual terms and conditions and contractual entitlement Liaison and negotiation with the Customer’s Commercial and/or project team Establishing and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders Ensure appropriate commercial records are maintained in line with the contract requirements and oversee any contractual issues Investigate and draft contract communications and notices including Early Warning Notices, notification of Compensation Events, General Communications Provide contractual and commercial risk advice to the Commercial team and wider Technical and Construction Delivery teams Manage, monitor and report on commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated projects and portfolio of works Support the programme and project teams to ensure full compliance with contract and corporate governance rules
