Site Manager – Construction Main Contractor – £20m Student Accommodation Scheme Site Location: Birmingham City Centre Permanent: up to £70,000 Package We are currently searching for a Site Manager to oversee a new Student Accommodation scheme in Birmingham. The scheme involves the refurbishment of two existing blocks and the construction of three new traditional build blocks up to three storeys. As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the on-site management and day-to-day delivery of the project, reporting to the Project Manager. Role Site Coordination: Oversee daily site activities, manage schedules, and ensure efficient resource allocation. Team Supervision: Lead site teams and subcontractors, ensuring tasks are completed to standard. Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all regulations. Quality Control: Ensure all work meets specifications and high-quality standards. Progress Monitoring: Track project milestones and report progress to the visiting manager. Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients and resolve on-site queries. Risk Mitigation: Identify and manage potential risks and site challenges. Project Closeout: Oversee snagging, final inspections, and handover procedures. Experience Required 5 years’ experience delivering student accommodation/residential schemes as a Site Manager/Senior Site Manager. Proven ability to manage site teams and subcontractors efficiently. Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and stakeholders effectively. SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications are essential.
