Quantity Surveyor wanted South Yorkshire, permanent position MTR are working with an established contactor who deliver new build and refurb projects across various sectors such as commercial, industrial, health and education throughout Yorkshire They are family ran contactor with over 5 decades of experience and a company turnover of £25m, they have an impressive pool of key clients and are renowned for developing & progressing their staff Due to continuous growth, they are looking to add a QS to their commercial team to work alongside the senior team in financially delivering projects up to c£8m Key Responsibilities: Ensuring sound financial performance Preparation of accurate and detailed monthly cost reports Good working knowledge and application of Main Contract and Sub-Contract Forms and Standard Method of Measurement. Preparing and agreeing Monthly Valuations, including valuing variations and forecast final account Appointment of Subcontractors in accordance with Company Procedures Working closely with Contracts Management to ensure all required site records and correspondence are completed Maintain close working relationship with the client and design team Requirements: Experience in a Quantity Surveyor role with a background in Build Sound knowledge of construction processes and regulations Excellent analytical and numerical skills Strong communication and negotiation abilities Relevant degree or professional qualification Salary on offer ranges from £30k - £35k Car allowance Benefits, my client is open to Quantity Surveyor and Assistant QS level candidates, there is room for negotiation for outstanding individuals This is a fantastic opportunity to join a contractor who can offer a settled and stable working environment and a culture that prides itself in developing their staff
