Contract Type: Temporary (12-15 Months) Working Hours: 08:30 AM – 05:00 PM DBS Check Required Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our team for a 12 to 15-month assignment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who is eager to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment while providing support to our operations team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing contracts and agreements with suppliers and sub-contractors, ensuring the commercial management and administration of contracts, and supporting the delivery of the organization’s long-term goals. Key Responsibilities: Manage contracts and agreements with suppliers and sub-contractors. Administer the commercial aspects of the contract, ensuring effective cost control and performance monitoring. Monitor and report on monthly spending against the package budget. Evaluate potential claims from contractors and suppliers and provide suitable recommendations. Prepare orders and instructions for contractors or suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Oversee additional works processes to identify and capture items exceeding the contract’s limit of liability. Provide insights and drive profitable growth, supporting the achievement of organizational goals. Offer contractual support to the operations team and address commercial implications of non-performance. Maintain and enforce policies, procedures, and governance to manage commercial risk. Lead contractual negotiations in conjunction with the Senior Leadership Team. Work closely with the procurement team to enhance and onboard new suppliers. Essential Qualifications & Skills: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a construction or similar industry. Strong knowledge of contract management, commercial risk management, and cost control processes. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex contracts. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Experience in working with procurement teams and onboarding new suppliers. A DBS check is required for this role.
