Job Title: Site Manager - New Build Residential Scheme (Reading) Location: Reading, UK Sector: New Build Residential Company: Tier 1 Main Contractor Are you a skilled Site Manager with a proven track record of managing large-scale residential construction projects? A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking experienced Site Managers to join their team, working on an exciting new build residential development in Reading. Role Overview: As a Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards. This large-scale residential scheme will require strong leadership, effective communication, and excellent organizational skills. Key Responsibilities: Manage all on-site activities, overseeing sub-contractors, trades, and suppliers to ensure high-quality and timely delivery. Enforce health and safety policies, conducting regular checks and audits to ensure full compliance with industry standards. Coordinate materials, equipment, and site logistics, ensuring smooth workflow and project progression. Work closely with the Project Manager and other key stakeholders to ensure clear communication and efficient decision-making. Ensure that all work is completed to specification, within budget, and meets the required quality standards. Conduct regular site meetings, progress reports, and inspections to monitor and drive performance. Requirements: Experience as a Site Manager on large-scale residential schemes, ideally with a Tier 1 or similar main contractor. Strong understanding of construction processes, building regulations, and health & safety legislation. Leadership ability to motivate and manage on-site teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing project needs. Relevant qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS) and experience in managing similar large residential developments
