About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to contribute to the successful delivery of innovative construction schemes. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and engage directly with clients across multiple industries. You will be at the forefront of guiding projects from inception to completion, ensuring excellence in every aspect. Key Responsibilities Lead and Coordinate Projects: Oversee and direct project teams to ensure timely and successful delivery. Client Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing expert advice and maintaining strong relationships across various sectors. Technical Expertise: Develop and share your technical knowledge, offering guidance on construction, contracts, and cost aspects to both clients and junior team members. Inspections & Reporting: Conduct thorough inspections of existing buildings, diagnose issues, and prepare comprehensive reports with strategic recommendations for maintenance, repair, and refurbishment. Contract Management: Lead the preparation of specifications, tender documents, and contracts, while managing procurement and overseeing contract administration, valuations, and certifications. Mentorship: Foster a culture of learning and development by mentoring junior colleagues and sharing your expertise. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects meet the latest industry regulations and standards, including UK building regulations and the Building Safety Act 2023. Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure seamless project execution. Skills & Requirements MRICS Accreditation Proven Experience: Extensive background in Building Surveying, ideally within a senior role at a private consultancy, working on complex and commercial projects such as Retail, Healthcare, Higher Education, Schools. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams and projects with a collaborative approach. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills, with the ability to present effectively to various audiences. Relationship Building: Strong ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with clients and team members. Attention to Detail: Commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with MS 365, JCT/NEC Contracts, AutoCAD/Vectorworks, and knowledge of UK building regulations. Valid UK Driving Licence: Required.
